Copihue Poetry

A man in a Selena Quintanilla shirt jumped over a puddle. He was trying to escape from a ravenous Chihuahua who had been chasing him for blocks. He had no idea why the Chihuahua was chasing him. He jumped over the puddle and waited to see if the dog could also make the jump. It was successful. The man in a Selena Quintanilla shirt continued running down the street. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his jacket and threw them at the Chihuahua. The miniature beast managed to artfully dodge the pack of cigarettes. The man in a Selena Quintanilla shirt ran even faster. He ran and ran until he ran out of gas. The Chihuahua then jumped up into his frantic arms. As it turned out, the Chihuahua just wanted affection. The man in a Selena Quintanilla shirt and the Chihuahua became instant best friends. The pair lived in Berkeley, CA, for eleven years. They grew a vegetable garden and rooted for the Golden Bears. Then the man in a Selena Quintanilla shirt died of lung cancer from years of smoking in an obscure South Berkeley café. After the man died, the Chihuahua wrote him a poetic elegy. Rest in peace, man in a Selena Quintanilla shirt.
